More Flamingos! Plus my Trip to the Zoo

Hello, darlings!

Today I’m sharing this adorable little ensemble that I recently wore on a field trip with my rotten little cousins. We went to the zoo. Obviously, I like to dress for the occasion, so I gravitated towards this flamingo skirt. I just so happened to have a matching Kate Spade flamingo purse. I then threw on a black tee with ruffle detailing (not sure if you can notice in the pictures, but it’s around the neck), my black Chaco sandals for comfort, and a fedora to top it all off. I’m also really loving these sunnies — I bought them on the app Wish for about $3 (It probably isn’t the most trustworthy app, but I just read the reviews to make sure I’m buying from a reliable source)!

Our trip was a major success aside from the fact that we could not find the tigers. I was pretty disappointed; that’s one of my favorite exhibits. A few others said they couldn’t find them either, so they may have been put up for some reason.

Anyways, we had a lot of fun! I think the kids were mainly excited about the water park, though. They probably would have been perfectly content if we would’ve left them there all day long. As for me, I love animals, so I almost had to force my baby cousins to tour the exhibits.

My favorite exhibit was probably the elephants. They are huge. I always forget how big they are until I see them at the zoo. I just find them so fascinating. I guess I’m a nerd!

My rotten little cousins 🙂

Sadly, I didn’t see any flamingos to take a picture with. Besides that and the tigers, we had a great day and got to see some interesting animals!

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I enjoyed writing it! Come back and visit soon!

XOXO,

Tay ❤

Scripture of the Day:

Romans 16:18-20

18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Navy and Lace Crown and Ivy Top

Today’s post is centered around this adorable Crown and Ivy lace top. Its peplum style and bell sleeves give the look a flirty, feminine vibe that’s totally in style right now! To dress up the otherwise casual top, I added a pair of matching navy wedges and a crochet tote. I love the little pop of green on this tote and how the lace detailing on these shoes almost exactly matches the top! It was like a match made in heaven. ❤

This is the perfect outfit for a casual dinner or get together. Don’t be intimidated by the heels; they’re actually very comfortable! I wore them to a baby shower. After the shower, it took us about an hour to clean up. Running back and forth, they didn’t really hurt my feet at all! That was the last thing on my mind. I felt like I could walk a mile in those shoes. Since they were so comfy, I even wore them out to do a little shopping around town!

While shopping, I picked up a copy of Ivanka Trump’s new book: Women Who Work. I’m not very far into it yet, but I’m already in love! It’s very inspiring and motivational. She redefines the idea of a working woman, not only in the work place but in everyday life, and the concept of success. I’ll be sure to keep you all updated as I venture further into it! So far, I’m obsessed with this new read!

Well, that wraps things up folks. Thanks so much for stopping by! Hit the follow button below, so you’ll be notified when I make a new post! That way you won’t get behind reading them. 😉 See y’all soon!

XOXO,
